Web EDI DemoWelcome and thank you for taking to the time to take a look into The Vantree EDI Network. We have designed this system to simplify the trading of EDI documents and make EDI on The Vantree Network easier and more cost-effective than any other solution available today. Please click the individual panels below to see a variety of screens and an explanation of their function. Or click here to open all panels. All screens are taken from the actual system. Network Login
![]() The Vantree EDI Network is accessed through our SSL secured Web site located at https://edi.vantree.com. SSL technology encrypts the data passed between our servers and your Web browser so that nobody can decode your password or documents travelling through The Internet to your computer. Users of our system simply enter their username and password to gain access to the Network. Home Page
![]() Upon logging in you are greeted by the Network welcome screen, which informs you of documents awaiting your attention and gives you other information regarding the Network that may be useful to you. At the top of the screen you will find the menu items, which are used to navigate through your folders. The Inbox, Outbox, SendLog and Archive are all accessed through this easy to use menu system. View a Document
![]() Vantree has eliminated the need for any in-house EDI translation or communications software. Web EDI automatically converts your incoming documents into the format that best suits your particular situation. One of the options with Vantree is to have your incoming documents translated (or mapped) to a document you can simply view and print out on-line. This is an example of what an incoming purchase order can be formatted to look like. Your Vantree analyst can customize the format to suit your needs. Custom Data Formats
![]() Another option with Web EDI is to have your incoming documents translated to a data format capable of being imported into your existing internal systems. By simply viewing the custom data format and selecting "Save As" from your browsers File menu, you can save the file to your local computer ready for importing into your application (such as accounting software). Your Vantree analyst will work with you to decide on the best and most efficient way to utilize our network depending on your particular situation. Outbox
![]() Outbound documents appear in the Outbox until they are selected and the Send button is clicked. You also have the option of viewing and deleting documents in your Outbox by selecting the document(s) and clicking the appropriate button. The "Upload New Documents" button is selected to access the File Upload screen. File Upload
![]() Selecting the "Upload New Documents" button from the Outbox will open the Web upload screen. This feature empowers you to export files directly out of your internal system for sending to the Network from the comfort of your Web browser. Your Vantree analyst will create a custom translation map on our Network for you that will take your system file and convert it into EDI automatically. Once uploaded the documents will appear in the Outbox, translated into the appropriate EDI transaction ready for verification and sending off to your trading partner. Other sending options with Vantree include FTP, and custom data entry Web forms, which we can create for you. Send Log
![]() Documents selected for sending through to your trading partner then appear in the SendLog. You can return to SendLog anytime to review the documents you have sent through to your partners. Also indicated in the SendLog is the status of the outbound document, which indicates whether or not your partner has acknowledged the document. Sliding Menu (Inbox and Archive)
![]() Each folder has a set of commands associated with it. You access these commands via a sliding menu located on the left-hand side of the window. To open the sliding menu you place your cursor over the right arrow. The Inbox and Archive folders have these commands:
